What is MyUfindus?
To help our customers, and indeed our advertisers, we have developed some new innovative online tools to seamlessly integrate with the main Ufindus.com website.
As users of Ufindus.com ourselves we noticed that we sometimes forgot the contact details of services we had found in the Ufindus directory, whether it was a florist at the time of Tom's Mums birthday or Bill the plumber when our office was 2" deep in water. So after a quick meeting we decided to do something to solve the problem...
We developed a new area of the website that allowed us, and customers, to keep track of our searches and allowed us to create our own Ufindus address book.
Now, every time you do a search and find a company that suits your needs, you can simply click "add to my Ufindus". This company, and it's contact details, will then appear in your address book for future reference.
Now that we have such a system, we are able to keep the details of Bill the Plumber close to hand at all times! But what about flowers for Tom's mums birthday?
Every year our hapless programmer Tom forgets to send his mum some flowers or organize anything special - always forgetting his local florists details, always forgetting the date. Right, we thought, wouldn't it be great if Ufindus would not only remind us of our special dates, but also send us details of florists or other related services in our area? Even when we were not on the Ufindus website? And for free!
So we built it.
Not only did we build it, but we added in features like the ability to send SMS reminders and emails as well making it possible to set yearly reminders for things such as Birthdays, Car servicing and anniversaries.
You will be glad to hear that Tom's mum now has flowers on her birthday and Tom is still the apple of his mum's eye
So whilst we were working on this, we tidied things up on the site, added in the ability to send contact details to your Email address book, show where businesses are by adding in mapping function and also keeping the ability to send SMS messages from the site.
